In this classic game, you play as Lara Croft, a badass explorer who travels the world in search of ancient artifacts. But don't let her tight shorts fool you, Lara is a force to be reckoned with. Players love Tomb Raider for its thrilling action-packed gameplay, challenging puzzles, and of course, the iconic character of Lara Croft. That said, this reboot is still one of the best Tomb Raider games, selling over a million copies in less than 48 hours and, as of 2021, 14.5 million copies overall. 1. Rise of the Tomb Raider (2015) Taking our number one spot is one of the best-selling PS4 games of all time, Rise of the Tomb Raider! The Uncharted IP was thought up after the lack of adventure titles such as a decent Indiana Jones game (I would say the main influence) and Tomb Raider after the recent games were also lacking. The Tomb Raider IP was also dead and buried, I think the success from uncharted made the 2013 version of TR what it is. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. The Uncharted saga is a cousin to The Last of Us. I am able to play games like Tomb Raider (2013), Just Cause 2, Bioshock Infinite, and Crysis 2 on MAX settings (including having Vsyc on) with no issues, not even any slow down or screentearing. I can also run Last Light on the highest graphical settings with no problem as long as Vsyc is off. The villain was still present but the main focus was Drake finding a lost city. With Rise I felt like that Tomb Raider focus was lost by them making the villain such a huge part of the game. Shadow really improved on that and makes Paititi and the Peruvian jungle with all its ruins the main focus which feels like a Tomb Raider game. The old Tomb Raider games. Some of them even had remakes I think. Besides them Dragon Age Origins for story and environment or Saints Row 4/GTA5 for good gunfight, acrobatics and OK story. Max Payne 3 is also solid though none of those games have bows/ropes etc. Oh, right, duh! Good point. The implementation of "Bullet Time" during certain enemy encounters also sticks out as a core memory attached to this respectable remake. We're not the biggest fans of the Wii version's implementation of motion controls, though - play this one on PC if you can. Buy Now, $27.99. 7. ‘Tomb Raider: Underworld’. .
